Hello, I am Amanda Marken, a recent graduate from Colorado State University with a degree in Journalism and Media Communication, and a minor in Business, and a certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Throughout my academic journey I have been given the opportunity to develop photographic styles, technical writing and social media management. My professional development sparked as I took a Public Relations internship with Fascinate Communications the summer between my sophomore and junior year, that obtained until the start of my senior year. Throughout this time, I developed public relations skills in many different facets, and in applications of different companies. Key highlights were developing monthly press releases, creating competitor analysis, planning sponsorships and extensive media analysis. Beyond that, I have given opportunities to manage the social media for CSU’s broadcast station (CTV), run behind the scenes streaming technology, along with immersive involvement in Ram+ (Student run streaming service) as a screenwriter and content editor, and a photographer and writer for College Ave Magazine. Throughout college I have gained a passion for branding and content creation. Beyond my professional endeavors, during my senior year I studied abroad in Florence, Italy which grew my love and passion for journalistic and street photography. One of my greatest pursuits in life is traveling and communicating global perspectives. On a smaller scale, I spend most of my free time enjoying live music and spending time outside. I enjoy challenging myself with running and other physical challenges. Whether with my professional pursuits, traveling to a new country outside of my comfort zone, or training for an upcoming race I work towards creating things I am proud of. I love trying new things and push myself to be immersed in new challenges.
